The vibration mitigation effect of the WIB would be improved when its size and shear modulus increase or the embedded depth decreases. The experimental results convincingly indicate that WIB is effective to reduce the ground vibration, especially at high excitation frequencies. The influences of the size, the embedded depth and the shear modulus of the WIB on the vibration mitigation were also systematically examined under different loading conditions. The velocity amplitude of ground vibration was measured and the root-mean-square (RMS) velocity is used to evaluate the vibration mitigation effect of the WIB.

In this paper, a series of field experiments were carried out to investigate the active vibration isolation for a surface foundation using horizontal wave impedance block (WIB) in a multilayered ground under vertical excitations. This paper, as well as the book, will be useful to physicists, students, senior pupils and everything who is interested in the scientific worldview. The paper states brief review of the book. However, the developed methods in the book are not used in physics due to misconceptions about essence of science. The last book was published 20 years ago and aroused great interest among readers.

The paper proves the fallacy of hypotheses about the dependence of mass on velocity, about particles of light, about light speed of gravity propagation, about “Black holes”, about gravitational waves etc. In addition, the accepted hypotheses lead to the emergence of new objects of scientific vision of the world, which in the real world are absent. The examples of scientific concepts “Big Bang” and “neutrino” show the formation of erroneous hypotheses that lead to the emergence of these concepts.
